Why I Kept Buying Scotts Flower & Vegetable Plant Food
I did not choose Scotts All Purpose Flower & Vegetable plant food because I compared twenty fertilizer labels.
A guy selling plants at a local flea market recommended it to me.
#ad
The product in my Amazon history is Scotts All Purpose Flower & Vegetable Continuous Release Plant Food. I bought it repeatedly over several years.
My short version: the recommendation came from someone who told me he was a master gardener through Penn State Extension. I tried the product, kept using it, and the conversation also sent me toward Penn State Extension’s gardening information, which I still read.
The recommendation mattered more than the packaging
The seller was talking with me about how he became a master gardener through Penn State Extension. I never signed up for the program myself, but I did check out the Extension site afterward and still read their email newsletters.
That is how this product entered my gardening routine: not because of an ad, but because somebody who knew plants told me what he used.
Why the repeat purchases matter
My Amazon history shows multiple purchases over several years. I think that says more about my experience than pretending I measured some dramatic before-and-after result.
I used it, was satisfied enough to keep using it, and bought it again.
For watering and feeding around the yard, I have also used the Miracle-Gro Garden Feeder. That is a different delivery system, but both fit the same practical goal: making plant care easier enough that I actually keep up with it.
Would I buy it again?
Yes. I already did, several times. I would still follow the current label directions rather than treating my repeat purchases as a universal recipe for every plant.
