Is the Hayward SP1592 115V or 230V?
Back to my Hayward SP1592 ownership story
Short answer: the Hayward SP1592 Power-Flo Matrix is a 115-volt pump. Current product specifications for the W3SP1592 list 1 HP, single speed, and 115V operation.
Why this matters when replacing a pool pump
A replacement pump needs to match more than horsepower. Voltage is one of the first things to verify because a pump built for 115V is not interchangeable with a 230V installation just because the horsepower looks similar.
The SP1592 is the 1 HP model in this Power-Flo Matrix family. If you are replacing an older unit, check the old motor label and the circuit before assuming that the model number alone tells the whole story.
Does the SP1592 use a normal plug?
Published specifications list a 3-foot cord on the SP1592. That makes it different from many permanently wired in-ground-pool pumps. The Power-Flo Matrix line is designed around above-ground/on-ground pool installations.
What I would verify before ordering
Check the old pump’s voltage, the outlet/circuit serving the pump, the plumbing connection size, and whether your old setup used a horizontal or vertical discharge orientation. The SP1592 can rotate its discharge orientation, but electrical compatibility still has to be right.
