Speed Stick Unscented Review: Why I’ve Ordered It for Years
I have a pretty simple requirement for deodorant.
I do not want it to make me smell like something. It is the same unglamorous repeat-purchase logic behind the Dickies socks I keep buying despite worn heels.
I want it to help me not smell like something.

That sounds obvious to me, but unscented antiperspirant became surprisingly hard to find in stores. Speed Stick Power Unscented was one of the options I could still reliably find online, so I kept buying it.
And kept buying it.
My Amazon history shows eighteen purchase records for the eight-pack version from 2020 through 2026, plus a couple of other pack sizes along the way.
My short version: this is not a glamorous product review. I keep buying Speed Stick Power Unscented because it does the basic job I want without making me smell like somebody’s idea of a mountain, ocean, sport, forest, or explosion.

Why ‘unscented’ matters more to me than the marketing name
I know a lot of people like a deodorant that adds a fragrance.
I do not.
If I want to smell like cologne, I can put on cologne. I do not need my underarms participating in a separate fragrance strategy.
Speed Stick’s current site still lists its Power line as available in an Unscented version. That is the part of the product description I care about most.
I started ordering it because local selection got worse
My memory is that truly unscented options used to be easier to find.
Over time, the store shelves seemed increasingly dominated by named scents. Speed Stick was one of the few unscented antiperspirants I could still find consistently, especially online.
That explains the Amazon repetition better than some dramatic brand-loyalty story.
I found something that worked for me and stopped wanting to re-shop the category.
Why I buy multipacks
If I already know I use something, buying several at once makes more sense to me than repeatedly discovering I am out of it.
My main Amazon listing is an eight-pack. I have also ordered other pack sizes when that was apparently what made sense at the time.
I do not treat a particular pack size as sacred. I care more about getting the unscented product I want at a reasonable per-stick cost.
Would I keep buying Speed Stick Power Unscented?
Yes, assuming the product remains available and keeps doing what I expect.
This is one of the least exciting products on The Things I Bought, which is exactly why I think it belongs here.
There are purchases you research for two weeks and forget six months later. Then there are boring products that quietly end up in your house year after year.

Is Speed Stick Power still available unscented?
As of August 2026, Speed Stick’s official site still lists the Power line as available in an Unscented version, and my main eight-pack Amazon ASIN still has a product page.
Why do you buy it online?
Because I found unscented antiperspirant increasingly difficult to find locally, while I could keep ordering this one online.
Do you buy the eight-pack every time?
Not every time. My history also includes five- and seven-pack versions, but the eight-pack ASIN is the one that appears repeatedly.
Why not just buy scented deodorant?
Because I do not want deodorant to add a fragrance. I want it to reduce unwanted odor without becoming another scent.
