UBeesize 67-Inch Tripod Review: Mine Broke, and I Bought the Same One Again

There are two ways to interpret the fact that I bought the same tripod twice.

The first is not flattering: a piece on my original UBeesize 67-inch tripod snapped near the top while I was trying to mount a camera. I do not remember exactly which piece broke, but I remember thinking that it should not have. The tripod supports the same small-scale photo and recording work as my Canon MegaTank printer and TONOR USB microphone.

The second is probably more useful: I liked the rest of the tripod enough that I bought the same one again.

My short version: I have been happy with the UBeesize 67-inch tripod overall. It is relatively inexpensive, handles both conventional camera mounts and my phone, gives me the adjustments I need, and lets me hang weight from the center for extra stability. The first one did break, so this is not a durability fairy tale.

Why I bought the same tripod after one broke

Normally, having a product break is a good reason to move on to another brand.

In this case, I liked the tripod’s basic layout. It adjusted the ways I needed it to, it was easy to use with a camera, and the included phone holder made it useful even when I was not using traditional camera gear.

So instead of deciding the entire design was bad because one part failed, I bought another one.

That is not the same thing as saying the break was acceptable. It is saying the tripod did enough other things right that I was willing to give the same model another chance.

I use it with both cameras and phones

The tripod has a normal threaded camera mount, so I can use it with traditional cameras and similarly mounted devices.

It also came with a padded squeeze-style phone holder. I like having both options because I do not have to decide whether I own a ‘camera tripod’ or a ‘phone tripod.’ It can be either one.

The current Amazon listing for the same ASIN still describes the tripod as compatible with cameras, phones, projectors, webcams and spotting scopes. UBeesize also still lists this exact ASIN in its current troubleshooting guide.

The adjustments have been enough for me

I am not a professional photographer trying to hang thousands of dollars of gear off a studio support system.

For what I do, the tripod has had the adjustments I need. I can change height, angle the camera, switch to the phone mount, and position things for normal photography or video work.

The current listing still identifies it as a 67-inch tripod. I care less about the exact maximum number than whether I can get the camera where I want it, and I generally can.

I like being able to add weight for stability

One feature I appreciate is the ability to hang weight from the center area to improve stability.

That does not turn a lightweight tripod into a concrete foundation, but it is useful when I want a little more mass helping keep things steady.

As always, I would stay within the manufacturer’s current load and setup guidance rather than improvising with an unreasonable amount of weight.

The first break still counts against it

I do not want the ‘I bought it twice’ story to turn into an excuse for the first one breaking.

Something near the top snapped while I was mounting a camera. I do not remember the exact component well enough to name it, but I remember feeling that it should not have failed.

If the second tripod eventually breaks in the same way, that would change my opinion considerably. So far, though, I have been happy with the replacement.

Would I buy the UBeesize 67-inch tripod again?

I already did.

That is probably the clearest answer I can give.

The first one had a failure I did not like, but the tripod’s combination of price, flexibility, camera compatibility, phone holder, and useful adjustments was good enough that I deliberately ordered another one.

A product does not have to be perfect for me to think it is a good value. It has to do enough right that I do not feel like I wasted the money.
